BABY CALAMARI WITH GARLIC & HERB STUFFING

Delicious calamari tubes stuffed with garlic and herb, using BAKERS Salticrax®. Crumbed calamari never tasted this good!

Makes 18 – 24

ingredients

50 g (¼ pack) BAKERS Salticrax® Black Pepper flavoured crackers

1 – 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

45 ml mixed chopped herbs like parsley, thyme and basil

100 g soft butter

18 – 24 baby calamari tubes

lemon juice

salt

milled black pepper

 

instructions

  1. Place the BAKERS Salticrax® crackers in a plastic bag and crush with a mallet or a rolling pin.
  2. Transfer to a mixing bowl and add the garlic, herbs and butter. Mix well and stuff into the calamari tubes.
  3. Secure the ends with toothpicks and season to taste with the rest of the ingredients.
  4. Grill in a griddle pan for a minute or so until done. Cover and allow to rest for 5 minutes after cooking.
  5. Arrange on a serving platter and serve.

18 – 24 klein calamari-buise

sout en gemaalde swartpeper

 

instruksies

  1. Verbrokkel die BAKERS Salticrax® tot klein stukkies en meng dit deeglik met die knoffel, kruie en botter.
  2. Vul nou die calamari-buise met die mengsel. Steek die buise se openinge toe met tandestokkies en geur mildelik met die orige bestanddele.
  3. Braai in ’n riffelpan vir ongeveer ’n minuut tot gaar. Bedek en laat vir 5 minute staan.
  4. Rangskik op ’n opdienbord en bedien.
