CRUMBED CALAMARI

A delicious way to serve Crumbed Calamari with Tartare Sauce for any meal occasion.

Serves 8 or more

 

ingredients

500 g calamari rings

3 eggs lightly beaten

100 ml flour

500 ml crushed BAKERS Salticrax® crackers

oil for deep frying

lemon wedges to garnish

Quick Tartare Sauce: Mix together a good quality mayonnaise with sandwich spread

 

instructions

  1. Dry calamari rings with paper towel.
  2. Place the seasoned flour and crushed crackers on separate plates.
  3. Coat calamari with flour and shake off excess.
  4. Dip into egg then crumbs.
  5. Keep separated and chill for at least 1 hour.
  6. Fry in hot oil until golden brown and drain on paper towel
  7. Serve with lemon wedges and tartare sauce
