JALAPEñO POPPERS


This spicy treat will add some heat to any event or party.

Serves 8 or more

 

10 jalapeños

75 ml cream cheese

75 ml Cheddar cheese, finely grated

15 ml fresh cream

1 egg

1 ml salt

1 ml paprika

125 ml BAKERS Kips® Spring Onion flavoured cracker crumbs

flour

  1. Pre-heat the oven at 180⁰C.
  2. Slice the jalapeños lengthways and remove seeds.
  3. Mix together cream cheese, cheddar cheese and cream and fill the jalapeños.
  4. In a bowl, beat together eggs and seasonings.
  5. Place crumbs and flour in separate bowls.
  6. Dip jalapeños into flour, tap off excess.
  7. Dip jalapeños into egg and then into crumbs.
  8. Press extra crumbs on top if necessary.
  9. Place on greased lined baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes. Serve hot.
