MINTY CARAMEL TART

A creamy minty more-ish dessert that’s a perfect after Sunday lunch pud’! This recipe uses BAKERS Tennis® biscuits, dollops of fresh cream, sticky caramel and crunchy peppermint crisp.  So easy to make and eat!

Serves 6 – 8

 

ingredients

2 x 360 g cans caramel treat

65 ml lemon juice

250 ml fresh cream, stiffly beaten

18 BAKERS Tennis® biscuits

2 x 50 g peppermint crisp chocolate bars, chopped

 

instructions

  1. Whisk together the caramel and lemon juice. Fold in the fresh cream and set aside. Spray a 20 cm square dish with non-stick spray and place a layer of BAKERS Tennis® biscuits.
  2. Spoon half of the caramel mixture over the biscuits and sprinkle with half of the peppermint crisp, followed by a second layer of BAKERS Tennis® biscuits.
  3. Repeat another layer of caramel, ending with a final layer of peppermint crisp. Place in the fridge to set before serving.

65 ml suurlemoensap

250 ml styfgeklitste room

18 BAKERS Tennis® beskuitjies

2 x 50 g fyngekapte bros

  1. Klop die karamel kondensmelk en suurlemoensap saam, vou die room by en sit eenkant. Spuit ’n 20 cm-vierkantige bak met kleefvrye sproei.
  2. Rangskik ’n laag BAKERS Tennis® beskuitjies in die bak. Skep die helfte van die karamelmengsel oor die beskuitjies. Strooi die helfte van die pepermentsjokolade bo-oor die karamelmengsel gevolg deur ’n laag beskuitjies.
  3. Herhaal nog ’n laag karamelmengsel en eindig met ’n finale lagie pepermentsjokolade. Verkil goed voor opdiening.
