STRAWBERRY WHIRLS CRUMBLE POTS

Use BAKERS Strawberry Whirls® biscuits to create this ‘melt-in-your-mouth’ fresh and fruity dessert that’s topped off with dollops of whipped cream.

Serves 6

 

ingredients

1 x 200 g packet of BAKERS Strawberry Whirls® bisuits

125 ml castor sugar

30 ml corn flour

250 ml fresh cream

800 g washed, hulled and sliced strawberries

12 strawberries

(extra) fresh whipped cream

instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven at 190 oC
  2. Chop the BAKERS Strawberry Whirls® biscuits and set aside. Mix the castor sugar and corn flour and whisk into the cream. Pour into a saucepan and add the 800 g strawberries.
  3. Bring to the boil, stir until thickened and remove from heat. Divide the mixture between 6 small glass oven-safe dishes. Sprinkle with the biscuit pieces and place on a baking tray.
  4. Bake for  for 8 – 10 minutes or until the strawberries and their juices are bubbling through the biscuit pieces.
  5. Garnish with the extra strawberries and whipped cream, serve at once.

  1. Breek of sny die BAKERS Strawberry Whirls® in growwe stukke en sit eenkant. Meng die strooisuiker en mielieblom. Klits die room by. Giet dit in ’n kastrol en voeg die 800 g aarbeie by.
  2. Bring tot kookpunt, roer tot dik en verwyder van die plaat. Skep die mengsel in 6 klein oondvaste glasbakkies. Besprinkel met die beskuitjiestukke en plaas die bakkies op ’n bakplaat.
  3. Bak in ’n voorverhitte oond teen 190 oC vir 8 – 10 minute of totdat die aarbeiroom deur die beskuitjiestukke begin borrel.
  4. Versier met die ekstra aarbeie en geklopte room en bedien dadelik.
