Train Cake
All-a-board! Take a magical journey on the Bakers train with Bakers Boudoir Biscuits, Bakers Choc-o-Break, Bakers Mini Maries, Bakers Tennis Biscuits and Bakers Eat sum Mor. A fun and creative recipe the kids will love.
Ingredients
- Sheet cake
- 1 Swiss Roll
- Butter Icing
- Green, yellow, Blue and Red food colouring
- 1 packet Liquorice rope
- 1 packet Bakers Boudoir Biscuits
- 1 packet Bakers Choc-o-Break
- 1 packet Bakers Mini Maries,
- 1 packet Tennis
- 1 packet Eet sum Mor
- 1 box Smarties
- 1 packet Marshmallows
- 1 Skewer
- 3 round Round sweets
Instructions
- Bake a rectangular cake according to any recipe. Alternatively, buy three ready made loaf cakes.
- Cut out three rectangles of the same shape (13cm x 10cm) and hollow out a rectangle at the top (9cm x 5cm)
- Cut out two rectangles the size of a slice of bread. Place one of these standing upright and the other lying down. Place the swiss roll on top of the piece lying down (as seen in the picture)
- Cut a cylinder shape out of cake and place on top of the swiss roll
- Using liquorice rope and Bakers Boudoir biscuits, create the train track.
- Ice each rectangle a different colour and trim the inner rectangle with liquorice rope.
- Place each iced ‘carriage’ on the track
- Ice the swiss roll portion to create the engine.
- Outline the edges with liquorice
- Make the wheels by sticking a smartie onto a choc o break with some icing.
- Stick the wheels onto each carriage with some icing
- Fill each carriage with Bakers Mini Maries, Tennis and Eet sum Mor
- Finish the front of the train with a choc o break and round sweet.
- Make the steam by placing marshmallows of different sizes onto a skewer
