about

All-a-board! Take a magical journey on the BAKERS® train with BAKERS Boudoir®, BAKERS Choc-O-Break®, Bakers Mini Maries, Bakers Tennis® and BAKERS Eet-Sum-Mor® biscuits.  A fun and creative recipe the kids will love!

ingredients

1 x sheet cake

1 x Swiss roll

butter icing

green, yellow, blue and red food colouring

1 x packet liquorice rope

1 x 200 g packet of BAKERS Boudoir® biscuits

1  x 150 g packet of BAKERS Choc-O-Break® biscuits

1 x 40g packet of BAKERS Mini Blue Label® Maries

1 x 40g packet of BAKERS Mini Tennis® biscuits

1 x 40g packet of BAKERS Mini  Eet-Sum-Mor® biscuits

1 x box Smarties

1 x packet marshmallows

1 x Skewer

 

 

instructions

  1. Bake a rectangular sheet cake according to any recipe. Alternatively, buy three ready made loaf cakes.
  2. Cut out three rectangles of the same shape (13 cm x 10 cm) and hollow out a rectangle at the top (9 cm x 5 cm).
  3. Cut out two rectangles the size of a slice of bread. Place one of these standing upright and the other lying down. Place the Swiss roll on top of the piece lying down (as seen in the picture)
  4. Cut a cylinder shape out of the cake and place on top of the Swiss roll.
  5. Using liquorice rope and BAKERS Boudoir® biscuits, create the train track.
  6. Ice each rectangle a different colour and trim the inner rectangle with liquorice rope.
  7. Place each iced ‘carriage’ on the track.
  8. Ice the Swiss roll portion to create the engine.
  9. Outline the edges with liquorice.
  10. Make the wheels by sticking a Smartie onto a BAKERS Choc-O-Break® bisquit with some icing.
  11. Stick the wheels onto each carriage with some icing.
  12. Fill each carriage with BAKERS Mini Blue Label® Maries, BAKERS Mini Tennis® and BAKERS Mini Eet-Sum-Mor® biscuits.
  13. Finish the front of the train with a BAKERS Choc-O-Break® biscuit and Smarties.
  14. Make the steam by placing marshmallows of different sizes onto a skewer

  1. Bak ‘n koek volgens enige respep in ‘n reghoekige koekpan.
  2. Alternatief, koop drie klaargebakte broodkoeke.
  3. Sny uit drie reghoeke van dieselfde vorm 913cmx10cm) and hol ‘n reghoek uit die bokant (9cmx5cm)
  4. Sny twee reghoeke die groote van ‘n snytjie brood. Plaas een sodat dit regop staan en die ander een plat le’. Plaas die rolkoek bo-op die deel wat plat le’. (soos op photo)
  5. Sny ‘n silinder vorm uit die koek en plaas bo-op die rolkoek
  6. Gebruik drop toue en BAKERS Boudoir® beskuitjies om the treinspoor te maak.
  7. Versier elke reghoek met ‘n verskillende kleur en rond die binnekant van die reghoek met drop stukke.
  8. Plaas elke versierde wa op die spoor.
