Use BAKERS Wheatsworth® crackers to make these delicious tuna fish cakes. They’re super easy to make, your friends and family will love them!

Serves 8 or more


25 ml butter

1 x onion, finely chopped

10 ml curry powder

1 x 170 g can tuna (solid pack), well drained

250 g potatoes, boiled and mashed

200 ml fresh bread crumbs

1 XL egg, lightly beaten

salt and pepper

250 ml BAKERS Wheatsworth® crackers made into fine crumbs

oil for shallow frying

For serving

  1. Melt butter and sauté onion.
  2. Add curry powder and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Flake tuna and add together with potatoes, bread crumbs, egg and seasoning and chill.
  5. Shape into small cakes and flatten.
  6. Coat with BAKERS Wheatsworth® cracker crumbs and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  7. Heat oil and fry fish cakes until crisp and golden on both sides.
  8. Serve with a green salad.
